HP PROBOOK X360 LAPTOP REVIEW AND PRICE
Hp has announced its HP Probook x360 which is an Education edition convertible laptop designed for school students and teachers. Probook is the world's thinnest rugged convertible notebook PC which is aimed at users who want a cheap notebook for work or to use in their free time. With a screen size of 11.6-inch, it is more of a subnotebook which offers great performance and versatile design. The laptop comes in two colors majorly in Blue and Red. The Probook uses a Pentium N3540, 4 GB of RAM, a 500 GB HDD, and an Ethernet port. Display and Keyboard made me disappointed.
Quick Review of Hp Probook x360 Processor :
Intel Pentium N3540 processor clocked at 2.16 GHz handles basic computing tasks very easily but when it comes to gaming, please look somewhere else. This rugged laptop is designed for educational purpose so a couple of mathematical computation can be expected. Also, N3540 is capable of performing graphic simulation without any glitch. So whether you are making Microsoft Office presentation or watching a documentary, this notebook will not disappoint you. The Processor scored 40 on cinebench R15 test. If you are a college student then this could to your future convertible laptop. Other laptops in this price segment as such as Acer Swift 7 performs really well.
Display Review :
An 11.6-inch display screen looses its brightness with the battery. Hp Probook x360 display panel produces poor viewing angles. I suggest the readers look for other options like Hp Stream 13 which has better contrast and pixel density. The Screen shows slow response towards sudden change in aspect ratio. So, this notebook is not recommended for gaming purpose. Talking about the brightness, the screen is unable to project the shadowing effects of a clip. I have seen several portions getting pixelated during the play. The frequency of screen flickering is notably high for this semi-notebook which makes it prone to disturbed screen resolution.
Keyboard and Trackpad Review :
A Convertible Tablet with 2.5 mm size of keys is rare to be seen. The keys are more stuffed together which makes it difficult to type smoothly. I found myself typing slowly than usual on this laptop. For hardcore writers and people in content management can go for Dell Xps 13. The keys are not engraved for proper fingertip rest which makes it just a formality of placing a low-end keyboard in ProBook. The trackpad seems better but performs satisfactorily on various occasions. The play space is quite moderate and hence needs attention for grabbing a search result simultaneously.
Battery Review :
The lithium ion battery consists of 4 cells which last up to 11 hours 13 minutes without any operation. On a daily basis with moderate usage, the battery covers 4.2 hours of uninterrupted entertainment. The laptop gets heated very frequently as soon as the HP ProBook x360 is on AC supply. This is because of the poor air flow inside the cabinet. An extra fan can save the notebook for good.
Graphics Review :
Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail) is used to boost the multimedia experience for the students and teachers. Slim design and rugged build up the body of this laptop make it very necessary for this Education Edition notebook to be able to project high Graphic Processing power. Unfortunately, intel HD graphics merely gets the job done. I found unwanted lag and performance issues making a 3D GIF picture. The processing power of Probook could have been much better if Hp would have used a minimum of HD 5500 graphics driver.
Warranty and Support :
Hp provides One year of onsite warranty. Make sure to Register your laptop on the official page and Check the warranty status correctly. A six month of MS-Office subscription and Norton support is provided to the registered users when purchased on the official site.
