Chromebook Pixel 2, which was launched in the market last year has now a successor with LS functionality. So to remind the readers, this post is a review of LS version of the Chromebook. I did not actually want to review this Chromebook earlier but I am now well addicted to it despite its narrow field of operation, so I managed to spare some time to post an awesome review of this incredible Chromebook. Well so far as design is concerned, nothing has really changed since the last year. The same aluminium body casing around the tech hardware and rounded corners with silver blended chrome plating is used again. However, the Keyboard seems to be upgraded without any doubt. All the function keys are now placed on the top row and a four finger capturing gesture module is placed on the matrix panel. This allows the user to perform complex tasks very easily. Also, the screen size has not been changed or altered but screen brightness does seem to have enhanced. Awesome viewing angles and HD resolution.
Not only the screen resolution is super cool, Chromebook Pixel 2 LS is a touch laptop. Which means you can enjoy traditional browsing with smartphone touch experience. After a couple of days of usage, I figured Pixel 2 LS is analogous to one of the Apple iPad versions. With super smooth operation and very quick response time, No doubt this is going a big hit in the market. Let us get down to the number of ports that are actually by far the most distinguished feature of them all. There is a total of 4 USB ports on the laptop and an SD card jack. With an SD card, the company has given a user room for expanding the size of internal memory of the machine. Moreover, it seems that in spite of showing off this laptop just as a gadget of web surfing, the manufacturers have really shown some interest in making it a complete entertainment machine of the users.
One important thing I liked about the laptop is the unique feature of notifying the level of the battery without actually sliding up the display screen. The user can double tap on the Pixel and a sleek slim light line fires up to indicate the level of the battery contained in the book at that moment. So this is actually very unique to find in a general computing machine. This slim light line gives a premium look to the Chromebook. However, this is not user adjusted and runs with very specific colors just like Google.

Let's take a closer look at the camera here. This is actually where the Chromebook Pixel 2 LS sucks. The camera is not up to the mark rather it is hardly 420p where the company claims it to be the HD cam. No way, do not think of using the camera in low light conditions because there are no low lighting sensors and you will come up with a black screen video when completed. This is not the last glitch to the Chromebook, by this I mean there is one more to go. Yes!! it's the Speakers. Practically, the speakers are placed underneath the laptop and they are hardly audible to the user. This could be the last laptop of yours but thank god that is has a 3.5mm headset jack on the left corner. this actually is a life saver.
On a brighter side, the Chromebook has a very good battery backup, which lasts up to 8 hours. When it comes to performance there is not a single point of objection. Furthermore, it has a huge database of Chromebook apps store. The App Store has also got the addition of new apps and minor updates. Last year there was no option for filtering the apps according to Chrome Store and third-party Websites, but this year they have introduced that feature as well and also the user can select specific apps according to the operating system such as Android and can stick to it.
So this pretty much concludes our review of Chromebook Pixel 2. But a question pops up in the mind as to why to buy a browser laptop for over $1000. This is much simpler to answer because if you looking for a machine which can give a better browsing experience along with added advantage of Android App while having your brunch. Then this is all you need. And in today's world where we all are crowded by the WIFI signals all over, it's better to get hands on a Chromebook rather than a small smartphone.
